Want to hit it like a European or a commando? Here’s how. Midnight and onward is easy. 00:00 is midnight, the start of the clock. Things are fine for the next 12 hours. 01:00, 02:00, and so on. Easy.
Here is where people tend to trip over their watch bands. After 12 noon.
1 pm? 12 + 1 = 13:00hrs. 5 pm? 12 + 5 = 17:00 hrs. Need to translate the clock the other way? 17:00 hrs? 17 – 12 + 5pm.
Boom. Nailed it.
